Lot Description

Deep lilac-pewter silver in the centers, the peripheries have a subtle trace of rainbow coloration in the stars and legends. Bluntly struck from a late die state, there are several die cracks and multiple die clashes on both sides, as well as retained cuds that appear at points in the reverse die cracks. There are some very minor abrasions but they have no impact on the interesting visual allure on this wonderful AU example. This is a Rarity-2 die marriage, but this coin ranks among the Condition Census. PCGS 69, NGC 44. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,000 and this coin brought $4,348 in January 2017.
