Lot Description

A nicely toned Mint State 1830 half dollar. Bluntly struck in the centers from a clashed state of the dies. The centers are brilliant the result of an ancient light dipping. Recovering nicely from that old dipping, accents of blue, rose, and gold form a halo around the obverse rim. PCGS 4, NGC 0. The last one to sell in auction realized $1,320 in August 2018 and prior to that one sold in November 2011 for $1,121. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $1,350. This is a very pleasing BU Bust half that will fit nicely into any date or type set. Cert. Number 36263688 PCGS # 39830
