1807 Draped Bust Dime. JR-1, the only known dies. Rarity-1. EF-40 (PCGS). This handsome and inviting example combines a virtually brilliant reverse with an obverse framed in rich steel-blue and reddish-russet peripheral toning. Central detail is suitably sharp, while that at the borders is softer, typical of the die pairing. Obviously stored in a cardboard album for many years, this pleasing EF is sure to have no difficulty finding its way into another cherished collection. PCGS# 4480. NGC ID: 236T.
