Near-Gem 1739-P Sou Marque with Blundered Obverse Legend 1739-P Sou Marque. Dijon Mint. Vlack-163, var. D.C.FR. MS-64 (PCGS). 29.6 grains. A gorgeous piece, close to Gem Mint State, with full silvering, a complete strike, and handsome toning in gently mottled pearl-gray. Interesting variant of this Vlack number, the reverse die is sharply cracked from the border through the left side of the letter G in D.G.FR. which, upon closer examination, is actually a C, hence our D.C.FR. designation.
