1791 Washington Large Eagle Cent. Musante GW-15, Baker-15, W-10610. Lettered Edge. VF-35 (PCGS). Glossy dark brown surfaces with bold definition for the assigned grade. Some marks are noted on Washington's cheek and collar, as well as a few rim nicks. Still, the overall surface quality and eye appeal is decent for the grade. The popular 1791 Large and Small Eagle Washington cents were struck in Birmingham, England as a proposed contract coinage for the United States, and a quantity of each type were shipped to Philadelphia for presentation to legislators.
