1828 Matron Head Cent. N-10. Rarity-1. Small Wide Date. AU-55 (PCGS). Hard and somewhat glossy deep golden tan surfaces with chestnut highlights. Other than a pair of tiny flecks at star 3 and a solitary fleck near star 9, no unsightly marks or abrasions greet the unaided eye. Magnified scrutiny reveals much the same scenario. Sharply struck with bold design elements in place. Choice for the grade.
