Lot Description

Nice antique brassy-gold color with intermingled glints of olive-russet. There are a number of fine scratches in the lower right obverse field and at the central reverse, the minor planchet crack meandering through the first letter G in GEORGE is as made. Central striking detail is characteristically soft, but there is appreciable boldness toward the borders. While not a perfect example, any survivor of this type with this much eye appeal will catch the attention of advanced Washingtoniana collectors.
