1794 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent. Without NEW YORK. W-8560. URS-7. EF-45 (PCGS). CAC. An early and sharp die break (as made) in the right obverse field of this coin explains (or at very least contributes) to the scarcity of the 1794 Talbot Allum & Lee Cent of the Without NEW YORK variety. Examples are almost always offered worn, suggesting that much of the original delivery was placed into circulation. The present survivor retains more definition that typically seen for the variety, both sides bold to sharp in most areas. Light wear is largely confined to the highpoints, and scattered abrasions include no individually mentionable distractions. Handsome, fully original color blends autumn-orange and golden-tan shades.
