O-110a. Fully lustrous with a strong satiny brilliance, this Ugly 3 has a great look. Just a touch of friction on the surfaces keep this coin from a full Mint State grade. Close examination does reveal a few insignificant circulation ticks. A light toning adds to the high end visual allure. There are three Guide Book varieties that collectors cannot get enough of: the Broken 3, Patched 3, and Ugly 3. PCGS 12, NGC 4. The last one sold in a January 2018 Mail Bid sale for $6,600, and the previous two sold in an August 2017 Mail Bid sale for $7,150 and $7,994.
