- 1862 Seated Liberty Quarter. Proof-66 (NGC). With a pinpoint strike and no outwardly noticeable distractions, this richly toned example holds up well at the Gem grade level. Otherwise even olive-copper patina yields to areas of lightr silver-gray tinting on the reverse. At more direct angles we also note vvid, iridescent undertones that further enhance the eye appeal.
