Lot Description
1818 Capped Bust Quarter. B-2. Rarity-1. MS-62 (PCGS). CAC. This lovely BU example exhibit full satin luster to surfaces that present as remarkably smooth for the assigned grade. Lightly toned in iridescent silver-apricot and powder blue, the most vivid color is evident at the borders. Sharply struck overall and sure to sell for a strong premium. In our experience Browning-2 is one of the more readily obtainable die varieties of this issue, although we caution bidders that the Large Diameter Capped Bust quarter of 1815 to 1828 is a challenge to find in Mint State. The opportunity to acquire this impressive piece should not be overlooked. Provenance: From the Macon Collection. PCGS# 5322. NGC ID: 23RH. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
