1896 Barber Quarter. Proof-67+ * Cameo (NGC). CAC. A conditionally challenging example of a common date in the series, this Superb Gem Cameo appears near the zenith of the NGC Census. A fully original example, the obverse exhibits a somewhat mottled overlay of gold, red, and green colors; the reverse is brilliant. Beneath this sheen, however, the fields are well mirrored and the devices and legends have received a modest flocking of satiny mint luster. Void of bothersome blemishes and overall sharply impressed from the dies.
