THE XANNO COLLECTION Sharply impressed with reflective satiny surfaces and noteworthy detail. The red gold color is quite attractive, and the effects of aging are minimal. In 1886 the obverse was modified slightly to reduce the size of the portrait and lower the relief resulting in the Type 2 designation, which is considered scarcer than the Type 1 variety. PCGS 42, NGC 36. Only 8 finer. The value listed in the PCGS Price Guide is $1,900. Most recent auction recorded a price realized of $1,320.
