Lot Description

This is an undeniably original example, the boldest toning in sandy-rose and auburn drifting over the reverse and also engaging the obverse periphery. The center on the latter side is lighter in pearl gray, and plenty of soft satin luster shines forth nicely from both sides. Traces of minor die fatigue at the borders is noted, but otherwise we see sharp to full striking detail. A really nice offering for the Choice AU type collector or early half dollar variety enthusiast. Die State 104.1.
