Lot Description

6 graded MS-68 (4 with star), ZERO higher at NGC. The central band has not been fully struck up on the reverse, but the balance of the details are quite pleasantly delineated, including the upper and lower set of bands. Astounding luster shimmers around both sides and intensifies the eye-appeal to a first-rate level. Depending upon how much faith one puts into so-called "population reports" (not to mention third-party grading), this dime is tied as the finest known for the date, aside from strike designations.
