- 1852 Pattern Gold Dollar. Judd-140, Pollock-167. Rarity-7-. Proof-66 (NGC). CAC. Annular, or ring-form pattern with a central perforation as-issued by the Mint. The obverse exhibits the legend USA above and the date below while the reverse is encircled by laurel sprigs. Struck in a copper-nickel alloy with a plain edge.<br /> A beautiful Gem with shimmering, semi-reflective surfaces and splashes of pale-gold and copper-rose iridescence. The devices are fully defined, and we see not even a single detracting blemish. Finest certified for the type, and probably also the finest known!
