Lot Description

Deeply, richly, and nicely toned in shades of blue, pewter, and lilac are enhanced by a bold underlying luster. Sharply struck devices and both sides are frosty and satiny. There is a teeny planchet flaw in the obverse field and some assorted minor ticks visible with the aid of a glass. The eye appeal is quite pleasing. PCGS 8, NGC 4. There is just a single MS66 graded finer. No NGC MS65 has sold in six years, when a CAC-approved example sold for $6,463. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $9,000.
