The Proof-ONLY 1877 is a KEY issue to the series with a mintage of only 510, and this PR67+ CAM is tied for second FINEST in the designation at BOTH PCGS and NGC. Intensely brilliant mirrors are kissed by a light dusting of the palest iridescent rainbow patina on both the obverse and reverse of this SUPERB GEM. The contrast is there between the flawless reflective mirrors and the pristine, frosted devices. The visual effect is stunning. Only 510 Proofs were struck. PCGS 3, NGC 2. the most recent example brought $6,900 in the 2020 FUN auction and the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $9,250. This SUPERB GEM is bested by just four in PR68 CAM at NGC.
