Lot Description

1983-P Jefferson Nickel--Overstruck on a 1983 Lincoln Cent--MS-65 RD (NGC). Approximately 75% fiery mint red with blue and violet at the rims. Heavy die polish lines are evident in the fields on both sides. Both surfaces show blistering indicating that the host coin was struck on a copper-plated zinc planchet (1982-1983). Several columns of the Lincoln Memorial can be seen within the periphery of Jefferson portrait.
