Lot Description

Newman 13-X is a quintessential type variety in the Fugio cent series, and it is represented here by a boldly toned AU example. Deep chestnut and saddle-brown colors blend on hard, frosty surfaces that also show some nice gloss. Both sides are well centered in strike, although the detail is somewhat soft at lower left and right obverse. Even so, all letters in MIND YOUR BUSINESS are discernible, and the detail is bold to sharp throughout the design. Freedom from troublesome marks and some nice gloss further enhance the appeal of this pleasing piece.
