- 1788 Massachusetts Cent. W-6240, Ryder 6-N. URS-10. No Period After MASACHUSETTS. MS-63 BN (PCGS). Although this variety is fairly plentiful in an absolute sense, the 1788 Ryder 6-N Massachusetts Cent is rare above EF. Obviously an important coin for the specialist, the present example is not only fully Unc, but it is solidly Choice in quality. A bold-to-sharp strike is seen throughout, as is an even overlay of warm copper-rose patina. Quite smooth for the grade, with no detracting blemishes.
