1904-S Barber Dime. MS-64 (NGC). Crescents of golden-apricot iridescence enliven the peripheries of this otherwise brilliant and frosty example. A full Gem Mint State coin were it not for a thin, shallow graze to Liberty's cheek. The 1904-S is the only mintmarked dime issue of its date, and it has a mintage of just 800,000 pieces. With Gems "not often seen in the marketplace," per Q. David Bowers (2019), this generally smooth, highly lustrous MS-64 represents an excellent value. Provenance: From the Larry H. Miller Collection.
