1787 Massachusetts Half Cent. Ryder 5-A, W-5960. Rarity-3. EF-45 (PCGS). A generally copper-brown example with some marbling of autumn-red on the obverse. Mentionable softness is confined to the central high points, much of it due to light wear that accounts for the Choice EF grade from PCGS.
