1794 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent / Promissory Halfpenny Stork Mule. W-8670. LIVERPOOL Edge. AU-55 (PCGS). Edge: PAYABLE AT THE WAREHOUSE LIVERPOOL. Glossy deep golden-tan in appearance, the present TAL mule exhibits fairly bold devices -- Liberty's facial features are complete for instance -- and the stork's plumage is complete where struck up. Called "Scarce" in the Dalton and Hamer Conder token reference, this and numerous other Talbot, Allum & Lee die mulings were made specifically for sale to Conder token collectors and investors of the late 18th century. Choice for the grade.
