1830 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-101. Rarity-1. Small 0. MS-64 (PCGS). CAC. A captivating example with premium quality surfaces, undeniable originality and exceptional eye appeal to tempt the most discerning bidders. Dressed in iridescent toning of powder blue, pale olive and champagne-apricot, both sides are highly lustrous with a smooth satin texture. Sharply struck. While the Overton-101 is a plentiful die marriage of the 1830-dated issue in an absolute sense, the present example is of superior preservation to rank just below Condition Census per the listing in the Autumn 2011 revision to Stephen J.
