1886 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-101. MS-65 (NGC). CAC. OH. A breathtakingly beautiful example, both sides exhibit mottled cobalt blue and reddish-orange peripheral toning around virtually brilliant centers. Fully struck with appreciable field to device contrast, smooth Gem surfaces further confirm this coin as a premium quality survivor from a limited mintage of 5,000 pieces. The 1886 is one of the more conditionally challenging circulation strike Liberty Seated half dollars of the 1879 to 1891 era, a fact that confirms the significance of the present offering for the astute collector.
