- 1858 Liberty Half Eagle. MS-60 (NGC). This bold-to-sharp example is suitably lustrous for the grade with a satiny texture to the finish. Light orange-gold color is also noted for both sides, but we see only small, wispy abrasions/hairlines that do not include any individually mentionable distractions. A low-mintage issue with just 15,136 coins struck, the 1858 is scarce in worn condition and rare-to-very rare in Mint State.
