1899 Liberty Head Nickel. MS-66 (NGC). This sharply struck, fully lustrous Gem displays lovely champagne-apricot iridescence on both sides. Both the quality of strike and level of surface preservation are superior for the 1899 Liberty Head nickel, of which 26,027,000 pieces were produced. Provenance: From the A.J. Vanderbilt Collection.
