1872 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. OC-3. Rarity-1. Misplaced Date, Doubled Die Reverse. AU-55 (PCGS). Lustrous, particularly on the reverse, this attractive Choice AU is lightly toned in iridescent golden-apricot and copper-russet that is boldest around the peripheries. It is sharply to fully defined with a pleasing appearance. With the highest mintage in its series, the 1872 (1,105,500 circulation strikes produced) is the quintessential type candidate among Motto Liberty Seated dollars.
