Lot Description

1881 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-64 (PCGS). Toned on the obverse and reverse with fiery sunset-gold with crimson and russet accents--even patches of blue near the rims. The surfaces are splendid--clean and reflective, with no heavy disturbances beyond a few minor hairlines. Mintage of 975 pieces, most would fall far short of this attractive near Gem.
