Lot Description

A stunning strike rarity for this classic commemorative silver issue. Both sides are richly and originally toned in orange-olive iridescence, the lower reverse further enhanced with iridescent undertones of pinkish-rose and powder blue. The strike shows considerable force with all the tiny nuances of the design sharply rendered. The dies also imparted a rare (for the type) degree of watery reflectivity to the finish in the fields that offers appreciable contrast with the softly frosted motifs. Expertly preserved with impressive quality and outstanding eye appeal for the specialist.
