1880-CC Liberty Head Half Eagle. VF-35 (PCGS). Lovely khaki-rose surfaces are pleasingly original with an uncommonly smooth appearance in a mid grade Carson City Mint gold coin. Plenty of bold striking detail remains, especially on the reverse, and both sides also retain appreciable satin luster. As a more affordable, yet problem free and aesthetically pleasing survivor of a CC-mint half eagle issue, this coin is sure to have no difficulty finding its way into a specialized gold collection.
