1871 Octagonal 50 Cents. BG-924. Rarity-3. MS-64 (PCGS). OGH--Second Generation. 1831 Capped Bust Quarter. B-5. Rarity-3. Large Letters. MS-64 (PCGS). One of the finer examples seen of this variety, and tied with best seen by PCGS. Prooflike fields as always, with natural age haze noted from storage. A few devices show softness in strike, common to this issue, but the G below the bust shows clear doubling from the engraving blunder.
