Lot Description

Breen Die State I. A visually appealing example with otherwise universally sharp detail throughout the design that wanes just a bit along the upper right reverse border, where the word OF is somewhat faint, yet still readily evident. There is no border denticulation on the obverse from 4 o'clock to 12 o'clock. Rich walnut and olive-brown patina on surfaces that are smooth in hand with plenty of good gloss. Graded EAC VF25 by the Heritage cataloger for their February 2018 auction offering, although a bit better in our estimation.
