Lot Description

1860-S Seated Liberty Dime. EF-45 (NGC). Medium lilac gray with lighter high points and great eye appeal for the grade. The only with stars obverse coinage for the date within the denomination; the Philadelphia and New Orleans Mints dimes of the date were the type with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA in the obverse design. Scarcer across the board than its mintage of 140,000 pieces indicates, at least in the eyes of the present writer.
