Lot Description

Warm pinkish-rose highlights in the protected areas contrast nicely with the warmer honey-orange color that dominates this coin's in-hand appearance. Well struck and with few marks visible to the unassisted eye, although accuracy compels us to mention a light scuff in the upper left obverse field. The 1883 is an elusive low-mintage date that saw a circulation strike production run of just 1,920 pieces. A nice opportunity for an advanced Liberty Head quarter eagle collector.
