1865-S Seated Liberty Half Dollar. WB-102. Small Thin S. MS-64 (NGC). Impressive quality for date specialist with satiny luster in the fields which combines with pale yellow-gold over the surfaces of the coin. The strike is bold throughout, with sharp stars, curls on Liberty and the eagle's feathers and talons too—all are sharply defined. Noteworthy quality within the fields as there are virtually no bagmarks when examined, just a few wispy lines apparently kept this from a gem grade. Scarce and attractive for the date collector.
