Lot Description

Apart from the primary Ford specimen, which reappeared in our November 2022 sale of the Sydney F. Martin Collection in a PCGS MS-66 BN holder, the PCGS MS-65 BN offered here is the finest example of this Musante number that we have handled in recent decades. It is a richly original example whose frosty to modestly semi-reflective surfaces reveal vivid blue and pink undertones as the medal dips into direct lighting. Otherwise toned in a blend of chestnut and olive-brown, both sides are sharply struck with a smooth, hard texture that readily upholds the coveted Gem Mint State assigned by PCGS. Uncommonly well preserved with strong eye appeal.
