Lot Description

1810 Classic Half Cent. C-1, B-1, the only known dies. Rarity-2. AU-50 BN (NGC). Sandy-brown patina is a bit deeper on the reverse of this lightly circulated survivor. The strike comes up a bit short only at the right-obverse and -reverse borders, leaving the balance of the features more-or-less bold at the lower reaches of AU. There are no blemishes of note apart from a bit of old, light verdigris around a few of the reverse devices.
