Lot Description

1877 Liberty Eagle. AU-58 (NGC). Deep honey gold with much prooflike reflectivity and rich mint bloom, particularly in the recessed design areas. Sharply struck. A few scattered marks are noted, though they would be much less obvious on a frosty rather than reflective surface. Choice for the grade--indeed, NGC has not certified a finer specimen of the date! An important coin that will see spirited bidding competition.
