This lovely original Superb Gem displays intense crimson-rose and sunset-orange toning on lustrous surfaces. Although this is not a Full Bands example, considering the other details this is one of the sharper Mint State survivors from the 22,674,800-piece 1918-D Mercury dime issue. The level of surface preservation is remarkable, and the eye appeal is outstanding, propelling this stunning piece to the top of the PCGS and CAC population reports in the non-FB category.
