1798 Draped Bust Dime. JR-4. Rarity-3. Large 8. VF-20 (NGC). Dusky charcoal-steel and sandy-gray patina envelops surfaces that retain plenty of bold striking detail in the more protected areas of the design. JR-4 is the only die marriage of the Large 8 Guide Bookvariety, and it vies with JR-1 (1798/7, 16 Stars on Reverse) as the most readily obtainable variety of the 1798 Draped Bust dime.
