1864 Two-Cent Piece. FS-401. Small Motto. MS-66 RB (NGC). Faded mint color throughout with considerable red remaining and no specks or spots. The strike is sharp although the S of TRUST is a bit soft and apparently localized and possibly caused by grease on the die as that letter appears misshapen. The Small Motto variety is quite scarce and has always been searched for by collectors, but few have turned up over the generations. Long listed in the <em>Guide Book </em>so well publicized in numismatic circles. The surfaces are free of any significant handling marks and this prize will certainly be worth pursuing.
