1941-D Jefferson Nickel. MS-68 FS (PCGS). QA. A stunning strike and condition rarity with lovely toning that really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. Direct lighting calls for vivid multicolored iridescence in antique gold, powder blue, pale pink and champagne-apricot, the colors with a sweeping target-like distribution from the rims to the centers. Satin to softly frosted surfaces border on pristine, with all design elements fully rendered and crisp. Precious few survivors from a mintage of 53,432,000 pieces are as expertly preserved and visually attractive as this Ultra Gem 1941-D nickel.
