1835 Matron Head Cent. N-12. Rarity-4. Small 8 and Stars. VF-25 (PCGS). Decent, original chocolate-brown surfaces and strong VF sharpness. Light marks but nothing egregious. A much better than average example of this scarce variety. MDS with a fairly strong die crack from the rim over star 9 where a cud will eventually form. Provenance: From the John McBride Collection.
