1869 Pattern Quarter. Judd-721, Pollock-802. Rarity-5. Proof-63 (NGC). Silver. Reeded edge. Capped head of Liberty right, with three star tiara. Standard Silver reverse. Light silver gray surfaces with some champagne toning near the rims. A few scattered hairlines account for the grade, but the mirrors remain sharp. An example of the most extensive pattern series, the Standard Silver patterns are said to have been sold in 9-piece sets for $15, with dozens sold.
