- Virtually pristine surfaces are fully struck with a silky smooth, satiny texture throughout. Flashy and otherwise platinum-white in appearance, a blush of pale gold enhances the central reverse. There are none of the detracting carbon spots or other blemishes often associated with Lincoln cents struck in this metallic composition. The Philadelphia Mint issue is the rarest 1943-dated Zinc-Coated Steel cent in the finest Mint State grades, as here. A spectacular Ultra Gem that will please even the most discerning Lincoln cent enthusiast.
