1835 Matron Head Cent. N-8. Rarity-4. Head of 1836. AU-55 (PCGS). A really lovely example of this scarcer variety, this one is from the late state of the dies with the prominent die crack nearly bisecting the die. Attractive light tan on the obverse with a bit of luster remaining. The reverse is similar but with spotty steel striations. Provenance: From the John McBride Collection.
