1739-O Sou Marque. Riom Mint. Vlack-154c. Rarity-8. AU-50 (PCGS). An engaging piece with steel-gray peripheral toning that gives way to pewter-gray in the centers. Silvering is nearly complete, both sides sharply defined overall, although crumbling affects some of the peripheral features. Frosty and smooth apart from some minor planchet roughness in the centers that is easily forgiven. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
