Lot Description

This lightly and attractively toned specimen exhibits sandy-gold tinting that appears to drift toward the borders. Fully struck and essentially pristine, it is difficult for us to imagine a more expertly preserved survivor of this 5,542-piece issue, the scarcest in the Proof Washington quarter series after only the first year 1936.
